Happy New Year!
We welcome 2021 with optimistic caution and can only hope it’s a happier and healthier year.
It’s common at this time of the year to be thinking about what we would like to accomplish and what will bring us happiness. I recently came across this “quote” and wanted to share it with you:
My goal for the next year is just to fall back in love with myself, and the world, and life again.
I’m sure you’re in agreement. For me, it’s especially true of needing to fall back in love with the world and life.
What brings you joy? In the typical fashion of making new year resolutions, why not try to do more things that bring you joy. In addition, if you’re not happy with yourself, there’s no time like the present to make any necessary changes.
It all starts with YOU. If you feel good about yourself, it makes it easier to feel good about other things in your life. It’s time to confess your weaknesses and challenges. Then, seek guidance.
Here are 5 tips to get you going:
- Find a physical activity that you enjoy – physical activity releases feel good hormones. Plus, is you choose an activity you enjoy, you’re more likely to keep doing it.
- Respect your body – Fuel your body with healthy foods (more often than not)
- Become addicted to something positive rather than negative
- Be selective of the company you keep – Do the people in your life bring out the best in you?
- Let go of exhaustion as a status symbol and productivity as self-worth
