This month is Women’s month and the theme is Empowerment.
What are your challenges as a woman? And what has this got to do with empowerment? Empowerment can start with you paying attention to your wellbeing. As the saying goes… “You can’t pour from an empty cup”
The greatest joy for me as a nutrition and wellness coach, is empowering women to put themselves at the top of their priority list, especially their wellbeing.
3 wellness challenges for you to try this month:
1) Increase your water intake. If you struggle to drink water in Winter, Rooibos tea and herbal teas are a great alternative.
Did you know? 1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal helps with digestion
2) Reduce your caffeine intake (ideally 1 cup a day). Switch to decaf if it helps
Did you know? Caffeine dehydrates the body, robs us of essential vitamins and minerals – including Iron, and interfere with our blood sugars.
3) Eat the rainbow. A variety of colours offers a variety of health benefits. Try to eat something green, yellow, white, orange, red and purple every day.
Did you know? Green foods are good for healthy nerves, muscles & balancing hormones.
