Great source of protein and something different for the chocolate lovers
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup sugar free peanut butter or nut butter
- 1/3 cup almond milk or dairy milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup dark choc chip or broken pieces of 70% dark chocolate
- Pinch salt
- 1 can (400g) chickpeas drained and rinsed
Method:
- In a mixing bowl combine all ingredients except for chickpeas
- Blend for 2 minutes, scraping down sides of the blender stick or food processer halfway through, until smooth and bubbly.
- Add the chickpeas and blend/process for another 2 to 3 minutes, scraping down sides and adding more milk if needed.
*Serving suggestions: use as a dip with fresh fruit or add to oats
